The purchase price of a racetrack in Chautauqua County has been revealed.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Oct. 29-31.
During that time period, JJB Holdings, Inc. of Jamestown sold two parcels on Kortwright Road, Busti to Phoenix Group, Inc. for $525,000, where Stateline Speedway is located.
In an article published Nov. 1 in The Post-Journal and OBSERVER, Bill and Lisa Catania confirmed that their purchase of the 1/3-mile dirt oval from Jim and Jean Scott and Ronda and Chip Turner had been completed.
“This is a business that I want to have for the rest of my life,” said Bill Catania, a 1994 graduate of Westfield Academy & Central School. “This is a business that I want my kids to have in 20 or 30 years. I have no interest in building it to sell it.”
Stateline Speedway’s 2025 schedule kicks off on April 19 with its 69th opening night, the first of 24 scheduled event dates showcasing stock cars on the 3/8-mile dirt oval, 30 in total.
Also during this time period, Jamestown Kitchen and Bath, Inc. sold 1085 E. Second St., Jamestown to 1085 E. 2nd Street, LLC of Rochester for $560,000. There are no changes in operation. Company officials declined to comment on the transaction.
