Ice Arena To Host Bridal Show

January and February are known as part of the off season or planning season for weddings, and an upcoming Bridal Show at the Northwest Arena is looking to help those working on planning their upcoming weddings to do just that.

The Love is in the Air Bridal Show will pull together multiple wedding vendors from all around Western New York and put them in one place in the Northwest Arena, 319 West Third Street, to help newly engaged couples plan for their big day.

“At the Northwest Arena we have wedding and venue space and this event helps us to capture that audience and pull vendors and wedding pros together to make it easy for people to see what wedding vendors Western New York has to offer,” Director of Marketing and Events for the Northwest Arena, Tonja Rinaldo — who is also entering her 28th year as a wedding planner — said.

The Bridal Show is set for Feb. 2 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will include wedding show vendor booths, a question and answer session for those with questions about planning their wedding day and to help them plan for things such as the bridal shower, and a bridal fashion show for wedding dresses and tuxedos put on by Marquise Bridal Boutique, which starts at 2 p.m. and is something Rinaldo said this area has not had in a long time.

Rinaldo said that November to February or March is the time that is known as the off or planning season for most people preparing for their weddings, and that that time can be stressful trying to find and contact everything and everyone that they want.

“This is the time where people are finding their venues and photographers, etc. and at the Bridal Show we will have vendors in every category,” Rinaldo said. “This is one of the best shows to go to because you can plan your entire wedding right at the show.”

The Love is in the Air Bridal Show will help people get energized and into the planning process, along with helping them get excited about their weddings, Rinaldo said, along with helping with the overall process.

“It allows people to plan in a place where it is not as stressful and all of the vendors that they might need are in one area,” Rinaldo said. “It will help people in the planning phase to go to this wonderful show and talk and pick out everything in one day and then follow up after.”

Those planning to attend can sign up at the Northwest Arena’s website, northwestarena.com/events-at-nwa, or can sign up on the day when they get there, and the bridal show is a free event.

Rinaldo said they are happy to be able to gather all of these vendors from the local area into one place to help kick off the wedding planning season.

“We will have many fabulous vendors from Western New York and we are happy to be able to gather them for one day to make it easier for couples in the area,” Rinaldo said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
