The purchase price of a Jamestown building that is now a code blue shelter in the city has been revealed.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Sept. 25-30.

During that time period, C&B Realty, LLC of Erie, Pa. sold 917 Washington St., Jamestown to RTC Home Enterprises, LLC of Frewsburg for $120,000.

At one time that was the location of The Johanson Agency. The Johanson Agency merged with the J. Edwards Insurance Agency in 2018.

In October, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at 917 Washington St. by Recovery Options. The building is open on Code Blue designated nights through April 30, 2025.

The location provides shelter to single men and women who do not qualify for temporary housing assistance in the county, and to homeless individuals when the temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

From Sept. 25-30 there were 10 sales that were $250,000 or higher. They are as follows:

– 5548 Wells Bay, North Harmony sold for $439,000.

– 5405 Route 62, Conewango Valley, town of Ellington sold for $400,000.

– 15 Dickinson St., Silver Creek sold for $349,900.

– 1 Sunset Drive, Fredonia sold for $300,000.

– 2151 Route 5, Sheridan sold for $290,000.

– 2040 Main Road, Sheridan sold for $260,000.

– 8562 Shumla Road, Arkwright sold for $260,000.

– 7372 Bowers Rd., Stockton sold for $255,500.

– 12479 Center St., Sunset Bay, Hanover town sold for $254,900.
