City Man Charged In Shooting Incident
A city man has been charged after a gunshot complaint late Saturday evening.
Skyler J. Tritapoe, 29, was charged with reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after the 11 p.m. incident.
Jamestown police responded to a residence on the north side of the city. During the investigation, officers learned that Tritapoe fired a shotgun at a male nearly striking him. He then fired an additional round into the ceiling of his residence. Officers were able to get Tritapoe to exit his residence where he was taken into custody without incident and recover the shotgun. He was transported to the City Jail and held pending arraignment. Officers were assisted by the sheriff’s office and New York State Police.
