Boys, Girls Club Names New Director
The Board of Directors of the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club is promoting Dianne Woleen to executive director, succeeding Jeff Kroon as the retiring executive director.
Mrs. Woleen has been with the club for more than 30 years, beginning in the Art Room in the afterschool program. Since then, she has been the afterschool director, Summer Enrichment Coordinator, and since 2013, has served as assistant executive director of the club.
“Following a thorough search and the evaluation of numerous highly qualified candidates, we have selected Dianne as our new executive director,” said Rhonda Johnson, board president. “Dianne possesses the necessary skills, talent, and experience to thrive in this role. Her dedication and empathy towards both the children and staff have been evident throughout her 30-year career. It has been a privilege to collaborate with her over the years, and I eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration in the future.”
Mrs. Woleen has previously taught and served in administration for The Catholic Academy of Holy Family School. She has also worked for Holy Apostles Parish as the Faith Formation Director and Financial Secretary.
Mrs. Woleen has lived in Jamestown her entire life. She and her husband, Randy, have three sons and four grandchildren.
“One of Dianne’s greatest strengths is her ability to support and guide the youth who need us most,” Kroon said. “Dianne never gives up on a youth member and takes every opportunity to motivate and reward growth toward positive outcomes. Working with Dianne for the past 30 years, I have every confidence that she will continue to give 100% in leading and managing the organization. Dianne is an excellent educator which enhances the club’s program design, ongoing staff training and professional development.”
