Two Charged After Raid On Hazzard Street
Two city residents have been taken to the county jail after a drug raid at 11:55 a.m. Monday on Hazzard Street.
Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in a basement apartment at 21 Hazzard St., Jamestown. Officers found Collin A. Slack, 28, of Jamestown, and Nakeya I. Hardy, 22, of Jamestown inside the apartment. Once the area was secured detectives searched the property and located a Springfield M1 Garand, a replica pistol, 20.5 grams of cocaine, 11.5 grams of fentanyl, 16 Clonazepam pills, a quantity of suboxone strips, $313 and digital scales.
Slack, who is under the supervision of New York State Parole, and Hardy, who had numerous outstanding warrants from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Ellicott Police Department, were arrested and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. According to a police report, both Slack and Hardy have prior felony convictions. They were charged Monday with one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia. Both were arraigned Tuesday and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, and Ellicott Police Department.
