County Airport Restaurant Lease Proposal On Hold
A proposal for a south county catering business to take over the Jamestown airport restaurant is on hold for at least another month.
During the recent Chautauqua County Legislature meeting, lawmakers tabled a resolution that would have permitted Basil & Bones to rent the airport restaurant at a cost of $400 a month through April. It will be taken up at its October meeting.
A catering business, Basil & Bones sent an email to The Post-Journal/OBSERVER stating that they want to rent the airport to expand their current business.
“This is not a relocation, and all of our current operations will not be affected,” they wrote.
During a September committee meeting, it was stated that Basil & Bones was looking into opening a full service restaurant next year.
No reason was given during the full legislature meeting why the resolution was tabled.
