The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Sept. 21-30.

During that time period, Broadway Group, LLC of Huntsville, Alabama sold 4041 Rt. 60, Gerry to NS Retail Holdings, LLC of Dallas, Texas for $1,841,784. This is the location of Dollar General, which opened in September.

That was not the only business sale. Virginia Buffa sold 9-11 East Main St., Westfield to Lux Moore Park Penthouse, LLC of Scottsdale, Ariz. for $300,000. This is the location of Peaceful Designs Pottery & Specialty Gifts in Westfield.

Also, Hungry Horse, LLC of Bemus Point sold 812 Foote Ave., Jamestown to Douglas Lindquist for $100,000. This is the location of Allstate Insurance.

There were two residential sales in Chautauqua Institution that both topped $1 million. 43 N. Lake Drive sold for $1.6 million, while 11 Root Ave. sold for $1,292,000.

Also, the First Lutheran Church of Jamestown, NY sold three parcels on Chandler Street, Jamestown, to the Jamestown City School District for $225,000. In May of 2022, residents in the Jamestown Public School District approved a proposition to allow the school district to purchase the parcels owned by the church for parking space for the high school.

Finally, 150 W. Main St., Brocton was sold for $295,000. This is described on line as a 10-unit income property with 16 bedrooms total.

Including the sales previously mentioned, from Sept. 21-30, there were 18 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

— 3351 Bonita Drive, Ellicott for $459,900.

— 7852 Freeman Road, Sherman sold for $449,000.

— Home F2, NorthShore at Chautauqua, 20 Elm Lane, Chautauqua Institution, sold for $385,000.

— 5522 lakeside Boulevard, Van Buren Point, town of Portland, sold for $375,000.

— Condominium Unit A-5, Chautauqua Lake Estates, East Lake Road, Chautauqua town sold for $282,000.
