Mozart Club Benefit Concert For Marvin House
The Mozart Club will host a fundraiser for the Marvin House featuring Steinway artist Dr. Willian J. Newbrough at 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
Newbrough is a professor of piano and director of piano studies at Houghton University. The Mozart Club is producing this concert for the benefit of the Marvin House.
A piano faculty member at the Csehy Summer School of Music, Newbrough is also a veteran performer. Among other venues, he has performed at the Sidney Opera House, Carnegie Hall and Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Tchaikovsky, Russia. Newbrough has won many international and national piano competitions and performed in numerous solos, chamber music, and concerto engagements. Most recently, he was named a Steinway Artist, he won first prize at The American Prize, and his latest CD became eligible for a Grammy nomination.

The Marvin House houses the two Steinway pianos owned by the Mozart Club. Newbrough will be performing on the Steinway donated to the club 50 years ago by Mrs. Henri Hall.
Light refreshments and an artist meet-and-greet follow the concert.
