Chautauqua County had two real estate sales in late October that topped $1 million each.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in the county and recently looked at the transactions from Oct. 17-31. During this time period, 48 Main Street Associates LLC of Williamsville sold 48 Main St., Silver Creek to 48 Main St Silver Creek LLC of Lancaster for $1,710,000. This is the address of Mapleview Garden Apartments.

In a separate sale 4431 Lakeside Drive, Ellery was sold for $1.7 million. Realtor.com describes the property as a four bedroom, three bath 2,790 square foot residence on 1.47 acre lot, on Chautauqua Lake.

There were three other large business sales in late October as well.

MBC Development LP of Schuylkill Haven, Pa. sold 199 W. Lake Road, Mayville to The Michael Mattis Taback Dynasty Trust No. 1 of Northridge, Calif., for $845,000. This is the location of Dollar General.

Bemus Point Lodge, Inc. sold 3944 South Harold Ave., Bemus Point, to BP Lodge LLC for $495,000. That address was formerly known as Redwood Ranch Motel.

Shults Real Estate LLC of Lakewood sold eight parcels in the city of Jamestown to Jamestown Import Auto Sales Inc. of Lakewood for $229,715. Then Jamestown Import Auto Sales Inc. sold the same eight parcels to Luv Import Auto Sales, Inc. of Lakewood for $459,430. The addresses are 1710 Washington St., West 18th Street, 50 W. 17th St., and West 17th Street.

Along with the five sales previously listed, there were another 19 sales in late October that were $250,000 or higher.

With the 24 sales that were $250,000 or higher, four were in both of the towns of Chautauqua (one in Chautauqua Institution and one in Mayville) and Ellery (two in Bemus Point); three were in both of the towns of Hanover (one in Silver Creek) and Ellicott; two were each of the towns of Busti, Portland and Westfield; one was in each of the towns of North Harmony, Sheridan and Gerry; and one was in the city of Jamestown.
