Man Found With Loaded Weapon, Drugs At Hospital Charged

A 19-year-old Sherman man who was found with a sawed-off shotgun at UPMC Chautauqua is facing a host of charges.
Marcus Detweiler was committed to Chautauqua County Jail following arraignment on Tuesday.
Officers responded to the hospital Monday for a report of a man who was allegedly in possession of a loaded gun. The man, Jamestown police said in a new release, had been transported to the Jamestown facility from Sherman.
Detweiler was reported to be found with a loaded 20-gauge sawed-off shotgun, 10.6 grams of methamphetamine, 13.2 grams of fentanyl, pills and a scale.
Detweiler was released from the hospital and transported to Jamestown City Jail.
He is facing charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
