Info Sought After Juveniles Shot In Dunkirk
DUNKIRK — Information is being sought after two juveniles were injured in an apparent drive-by shooting Sunday night in the city of Dunkirk.
Both youths suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting, which occurred around 8:30 p.m. along Route 60 in the city.
Witnesses, according to the Dunkirk Police Department, said a southbound vehicle on Route 60 was passed by another vehicle, at which point shots were fired.
Afterward, occupants inside the vehicle struck by the gunfire sought safety and medical assistance at the Route 60 Red Apple Kwik Fill in Fredonia.
The juveniles were transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries was not reported by police, and what may have prompted the shooting also wasn’t noted.
