The Greece Town Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a confirmed child abduction that occurred at 79 Talnuck Drive in Rochester at about 10:04 a.m.

The victim – Cassidy Geffert, 16 – left a note for her parents indicating she was in danger. The note had blood on it. The household was in disarray with a knife on the floor. A .38 caliber handgun was taken from the home, and a vehicle was stolen from the scene. The vehicle – a black, four-door 2006 SAAB with New York license plate number GMM9136 – is possibly heading to Ohio.
