Officials Probe ‘Suspicious Package’ At Langworthy’s Office
A “suspicious package” delivered to the office of U.S. Rep. Nick Langworthy in Clarence has forced the location to close.
In a statement today, Langworthy said the incident is being investigated. “This morning, my office received a suspicious package with a white powdery substance emanating from a manila envelope. Following standard protocol, we immediately notified local law enforcement and the Capitol Police and evacuated the office while this matter is being investigated,” he said.
“The safety of our staff and visiting public is my top priority, and until our office reopens, we urge all residents who need assistance to contact our Washington DC office, or one of our other offices in Jamestown, Olean, or Corning.”
