Jamestown Man Facing Drug, Gun Charges

A Jamestown man has been taken into custody on drug and gun charges.

On Tuesday at around 11:15 a.m., narcotics investigators and police officers with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and Dunkirk Police Department executed a search warrant at 49 West 11th Street in the city of Jamestown.

Upon searching the residence, investigators said they located 85.1 grams of cocaine, scales, packaging materials for the distribution of narcotics, a loaded .380 caliber handgun and stolen property.

The resident of the apartment, Nylix J. Thomas, 23, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Thomas is being held at the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.
