A car chase late Sunday evening led area law-enforcement agencies on a lengthy chase out of the city of Dunkirk west to Westfield back to Route 20 East in Fredonia. Around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, the subjects left the vehicle near Lakeview Avenue at Route 60. A perimeter was set up from Route 60 between Lakeview Road, Christy Road and Straight Road. The K9 unit was also called in to assist. No further information was available as of 5 a.m.
