A fire broke out in the fields of a farm along Route 83 in South Dayton, approximately one mile away from Pine Valley Central School, on Thursday afternoon. Traffic was reduced to one lane, with Dayton, Gowanda, and Forestville fire departments among those observed at the scene around 5 p.m.
