Center Stage: Christmas Tree Arrives At City Hall
While voters made their way to the polls on Election Day, a 40-foot-tall Norway Spruce found its way to Tracy Plaza outside the Jamestown Municipal Building. This year’s tree was donated by The New Hope Community Church. After being harvested Tuesday morning, the Norway Spruce was carefully transported to City Hall and installed at its usual corner on Tracy Plaza. More than 3,000 LED lights will now be placed around the tree, with the ceremonial lighting scheduled during this year’s Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3. Tuesday’s delivery was made possible by the city Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities and Lake Shore Paving.
