STOCKTON — A criminal investigation is expected into the cause of a town fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies reported Wednesday morning that “there was no accidental causes to the fire” and have ruled the fire incendiary. Shortly after 2 p.m., crews from Stockton, Sinclairville and Cassadaga responded to the fire at 4943 Munger Road. The fire was fully involved upon the departments’ arrival.

This matter that has displaced three persons temporarily and no injuries were reported.
