Pair Taken Into Custody Related To Fatal Shooting
Two city residents have been taken into custody in connection with Friday’s fatal drive-by shooting on Prendergast Avenue in Jamestown.
Jamestown police announced the arrests Monday evening of Joseph A. Fontanez Walker, 32, and Kevin L. Roldan-Pantojas, 22. The department, however, did not note any charges for the pair, stating that investigators were “working closely” with the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office to “further the investigation and determine the appropriate criminal charges.”
Friday’s shooting led to the death of Jesus Batista Perez, 35. Another man also suffered injuries and was later airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
The department said further information would be released as the investigation continues.
The black Toyota four-door sedan that was previously posted has been located.
