DUNKIRK — A fire at 363 Lake Shore Drive West is being investigated.

At 8 p.m. Sunday, the Dunkirk Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire. First arriving units reported heavy fire in a single-family dwelling. The residence was searched for occupants and the fire was extinguished and extensive overhaul operations followed.

Fire Department crews cleared the scene at 10:30 p.m.

The residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Assistance at the scene was given by the First Battalion Coordinator, Alstar Ambulance and the East Dunkirk Fire Department was on standby.
