As temperatures crept up to near 50 degrees Friday, volunteers were burying the blocks that will be used to construct the ice castle in Mayville. Workers said they were covering the cut blocks in snow and would unbury them later in the weekend when temperatures are expected to drop. An ice castle is planned for this year’s Mayville Winter Festival, which is set for Feb. 18-20.
