(7:55 PM) Several Departments Summoned To Fully Engulfed Barn Fire
PANAMA — A barn was destroyed in a large fire Monday evening.
Firefighters from a half-dozen departments were called to 1049 Panama-Bear Lake Road around 7:40 p.m. County dispatch told fire officials that the barn was fully engulfed by flames.
The fire was under control in about 45 minutes, though the barn was a complete loss. A neighboring home also sustained damage to its siding.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear; county fire investigators were called to the scene.
The homeowners were reportedly not at home when the fire broke out.
In all, first responders from Panama, Ashville, Busti, Clymer, Sherman and Bear Lake were summoned.
