Honoring the musical legacy of organist Ron McEntire, the upcoming ‘Organ Plus’ concert on Sunday at 4 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will feature organists and vocalists. Pictured at the organ at St. Luke’s Church are student organists who will be performing: Maddie DeJoy, Julia Pound and Greta Roushey. Standing in back are organists Donna Gatz, Gail Espinoza and Brian Bogey. Additional organists in the program include Don Fellows, Andy Schmidt and Richard Snyder, plus student organists Trevor Napoli and Owen Reyda. Soprano soloists Danika Olson and Alex Scalise will complete the program. Sponsored by the Chautauqua Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the Concert will include works by Bach, Dubois, Franck, Langlais, Mozart, Schubert, and others. Drawing from the archives of McEntire’s recordings, the program will conclude with McEntire’s final performance of Cesar Franck’s a minor Chorale. An offering will benefit the Young Organist Scholarship Fund of the Chautauqua Chapter of AGO. The public is welcome to attend. A reception will conclude the afternoon.
