Pine Valley Students To Present ‘Matilda’ March 21-22

SOUTH DAYTON – Local students are preparing to share the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
The Drama Club of Pine Valley Central School District is staging Roald Dahl’s “Matilda the Musical!” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 21-22. Doors open at 6 p.m. to purchase tickets, buy concessions and check-in tickets. The cast features 27 elementary, middle and high school students while the crew is made up of seven middle and high school students.
Cast members include Lauryn Sawatis, a sixth-grader, as Matilda; senior Madison Ebel as Miss Agatha Trunchbull; ninth-grader Kieran Zollinger as Miss Honey and seniors Sara Sunick and Lizzie Roland as the escapologist and acrobat, respectively.
The production features a 15-minute intermission. Concessions — popcorn, water and a bake sale – will be sold for $1.
Pre-sale tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students. Tickets at the door will cost $12 for adults and $8 for students. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased by March 21 at pine-valley-drama-club.ticketleap.com/matilda/.
