The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County is looking for the community’s help supporting monthly recovery luncheons held to celebrate positive milestones in long-term recovery.

At the MHA’s February luncheon, Michael Nordin, Mental Health Association executive director, congratulated a participant for securing housing and introduced Danny Rosario, MHA’s new bilingual Spanish outreach peer specialist, who will be working at both the Jamestown and North County recovery centers.

Participant Mike Norberg offered the blessing before the meal.

With assistance from Nordin and Michelle Colaiacovo, association grant manager, Dianne Valvo, activities/public relations coordinator, and Jill Marsh, finance director, prepared an Italian dinner with an assortment of cookies and cupcakes for dessert. Volunteer Diana Bloom joined staff to serve the meal.

All are welcome to the recovery luncheons at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at the Jamestown recovery center. The luncheon and all MHA services are free.

The MHA invites local businesses, churches and organizations to assist in providing these lunches. To help by making a meal or sharing its cost, contact Valvo at 716-720-8098 or email Dianne.Valvo@MHAChautauqua.org.
