Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s Master Gardener Program will open its help desk at Jamestown Community College from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the Carnahan Building.
The Help Desk will continue to be open every Wednesday from 12:00pm-2:00pm through the last Wednesday of September. There are three ways to contact the Master Gardener volunteers: calling 716-664-9502, ext. 224; emailing chatuaquamg@cornell.edu so Master Gardeners can reply during help desk hours; and visiting the help desk from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays when Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions. Those visiting during office hours can bring in plants to identify, show Master Gardeners pictures of problems, bugs in containers and soil for free pH testing.
Master Gardeners are Cornell trained volunteers who are available to give advice based on research and help solve your gardening problems. Topics that Master Gardeners can assist with include information about invasive plants, native plants, shrubs and trees, soil amendments and sustainable practices.
