Assemblyman Appointed To The Human Services Committee
Assemblyman Andrew Molitor, R-Westfield, has been appointed as an alternate member of the New York State Assembly Human Services Budget Committee.
The assignment will allow him to advocate for policies that support families, seniors and vulnerable populations while also prioritizing efforts to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency and reduce the costs of these programs.
“It is an honor to be appointed as an alternate on the Human Services Committee, where I will have the opportunity to help shape policies that impact individuals and families in our communities,” Molitor said. “While access to essential services is important, my focus is on helping people move off public assistance and back into the workforce. My constituents want to see these programs serve as a temporary safety net–not a permanent solution.”
As an alternate on the committee, Molitor will be involved in discussions and decision-making regarding social services, child welfare programs, senior care initiatives and other human services policies. His leadership will ensure that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly while promoting pathways to employment and self-sufficiency.
Molitor said he has advocated for programs that enhance economic opportunity and provide necessary support while encouraging independence. His appointment to the Human Services Committee reflects his commitment to fostering a system that helps individuals regain stability and thrive on their own.
