Winnie Is NCCR Dog Of Week

Winnie
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Winnie, a recent arrival who was rescued from an overcrowded shelter to give her a better chance at finding a new home. She is a 2-year-old spayed female great pyrenees. It is unknown whether she has other breeds in her heritage; she may just be small for the breed at 50 pounds. Winnie is an active, bouncy young dog. She may be house trained, as she keeps her kennel clean and tidy, and she loves to play with her toys and spend time outside. Winnie seems to get along with most other dogs, although she may be “too much” for older or smaller dogs. She has a habit of jumping up on everyone and everything and is very curious and excited about meeting people and exploring. She is hoping to find a home with an active family who can give her all the daily exercise and playtime she wants, and all the training a young dog needs to help her become the best companion she can be. For more information or to submit an application visit www.caninerescue.org or visit the shelter and meet the dogs in person from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield. No appointment is needed.
