Southwestern Middle School officials recently released the school’s Students of the Month for January. They are:
Lily Bentley, sixth grade and the daughter of Christina and Steve Bentley. Her favorite subject in school is art because she loves making unique drawings. Lily participates in Southwestern cheerleading for the football team. She is also a member of the student council and the crochet club in the middle school. When she is not at school, Lily likes to watch WWE Raw highlights. One fun fact about her is that she can play the alto saxophone.
Owen Mank, seventh grade and the son of Erin and Jason Mank. Owen’s favorite subjects in school are advanced math and gym. He plays the saxophone in the band, and he sings in the chorus. Owen also belongs to the modified soccer and basketball teams, and he wants to run track in the spring. Outside of school, he belongs to STFC travel soccer. When Owen is not at school, he enjoys being outside, hanging out with his friends, and spending time with his family. One fun fact about him is that he loves playing all sports.
Natalie Strandburg, eighth grade and the daughter of Rosie and Matt Strandburg. Her favorite subjects in school are ELA and gym. Natalie belongs to the Southwestern volleyball and track teams. She also makes the props and backgrounds for the school musical. Outside of school, Natalie takes guitar lessons at Infinity. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.
