The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen the film Wicked today at 7 p.m.

Wicked is the untold story of the witches of Oz and stars Cynthia Erivo, Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning and Oscar-nominated actress, as Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of her green skin who has yet to discover her true power, and Ariana Grande, a Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist, as Glinda, a popular young woman gilded by privilege who has yet to discover her true heart. Wicked is rated PG and is 160 minutes long. The film is nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actress – Erivo, and Best Supporting Actress – Grande.

The Reg Lenna will also screen Mufasa (Wednesday at 2 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m.). In the film, Mufasa enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka — the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny — their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe. Mufasa: The Lion King is rated PG and is 118 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include Oscar-nominee for Best Actor Adrien Brody in the Best Picture nominee The Brutalist (March 1 at 7 p.m.), Lily-Rose Depp in director Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu (March 5 at 7 p.m.), Buster Keaton’s Sherlock Jr. with R.E.M.’s Monster and New Adventures in Hi Fi: A Silents Synced Film (March 12 at 7 p.m.), SZA and Keke Palmer in the comedy One of Them Days (March 14 at 7 p.m.), and Best Actress nominee Fernanda Torres in the Oscar nominee for Best Picture and Best International Feature I’m Still Here (March 19 at 7 p.m.).
