Lakewood Women’s Club Kicks Off 2025
LAKEWOOD – Members of the Women’s Club of Lakewood recently kicked off 2025 featuring health and wellness at the January program.
President Wyn Imfeld thanked Becky Danielson for heading up the club’s yearly tradition of sending holiday cards to every resident of the three senior centers in the community. Acknowledgements also went to Elaine Wendleboe, Garden Interest Group co-chair, for decorating the Lakewood Memorial Library for the holidays. Members continued to bring in clothing donations for the Southwestern Elementary School’s health office.
The January program was co-chaired by Colleen Anderson and Stefanie Lowery. Committee members for the January meeting also included Hannah Alexander, Melissa Deppas, Sydney Deppas, Courtney Drury, Nancy Larson and Jaime Nelson.
The featured speaker was Kimberly Lynn, owner of Holistic Health. She is a Reiki master healer and has been a practitioner for 28 years, working with clients all over the country. Additionally, Lynn is a meditation teacher and a certified Ho’oponopono practitioner. Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian healing system-in short it is a process of letting go of toxic energies within you. She is also the author of the book Empowered.
Lynn shared the importance of balancing the body, mind, and emotions within us to promote optimum heath; bringing inner peace. She led the group on a relaxing journey through meditation.
The Women’s Club of Lakewood is a non-profit organization open to Lakewood residents with a 14750 ZIP code. Its goal is mutual improvement, community service and social interaction.
The Feb. 25 meeting will feature Kalee Halladay, founder and president of a nonprofit organization called Glass Half Full. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Community Training Center, 110 Mall Boulevard. Enter through the training center doors.
