CHAUTAUQUA – A snowmobiler was injured in a crash Monday night.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, at around 10 p.m. deputies and local Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the area of Chautauqua Stedman Road for a snowmobile accident. After an investigation it was found that the operator was operating the snowmobile when he entered a ditch and was ejected from the snowmobile.

With the help of local EMS, the operator was able to be retrieved from the field and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The individual was described as a 23-year-old Chautauqua town resident.

Deputies were assisted by Chautauqua County EMS, North Lake Fire Department, and the Chautauqua Fire Department.
