Pine Valley Students Participate In Polar Plunge

The annual Buffalo Polar Plunge plunge looked a little different this year. Due to dangerous windchills and significant wind speeds by the water, the group representing Unified Sports at Pine Valley Central School District was advised it was dangerous for some athletes to plunge in Lake Erie. As a team, and in the interest of safety for all students, Pine Valley opted to participate in the alternative plunge activity. Organizers set up a “polar spray” using firetrucks. Before they ran back to their warm, dry clothes, they made some semi-soaked, very frigid snow angels. All the donations helped unified athletes and coaches raise $1,649 to benefit Special Olympics New York.

Starting at $2.99/week.
