Layla Is NCCR Dog Of Week
The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Layla, a new arrival to the rescue. She is a 1-year-old spayed female beagle who is about fully grown at 15 pounds. She is extremely friendly with people and eager for all the attention she can get. She has not yet had any kind of training, and will need house training and work on her basic obedience skills. Layla is bright, alert, and full of wiggly, youthful energy. Beagles are known to follow their noses, and may wander off if not properly contained and supervised, so a securely fenced yard is recommended. Layla would prefer to be adopted by a family with at least one other friendly dog, as she does not enjoy being on her own and has always lived with another dog. Read more about Layla and her adoptable friends, and apply to adopt online at www.caninerescue.org, or visit the shelter to meet the resident dogs from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. No appointment is required. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield.
