‘It’s Still Christmas’ Concert Is Saturday
CHAUTAUQUA – Hurlbut Church in Chautauqua Institution will present its annual “Yes, It’s Still Christmas” concert celebrating the journey into the Christmas season.
On Saturday at 4 p.m. the Hurlbut sanctuary will host a Chautauqua Big Band Christmas under the direction of John Cross. There will also be performances by Bill Ward, John Cross, Wendy Marlinski and friends, and a host of special guests.
Beside the special solo and ensemble performances, the concert will feature vocalists Bill Ward, Jenna Robino, Rob Meger with the Chautauqua Big Band Swing Orchestra under the direction of John Cross.
The swing orchestra will present big band Christmas music featuring soloists that include trumpeters Jay Hagen, Michelle Battaglia and Brandon Caruso; Kyle Jordan on baritone saxophone; Drew Minton and Paul Mazzone on tenor saxophone; as well as Tim Przybelinski, Chris Wakefield and Doug Schutte on trombone, Tyler Nelson on piano, Lily Zappie on guitar and Craig Ridgway on drums.
There is no charge for admission, and a free will donation will be accepted.
