Sempolinski ‘Honored’ To Serve As Assemblyman
Former U.S. Rep. Joe Sempolinski, the Republican and Conservative Party nominee in the election for the 148th District of the New York State Assembly, is “honored” to serve residents in the Southern Tier.
“I am eager to get to work fighting for the people,” he said in a statement late Tuesday. “I will always make sure that the voice of the Southern Tier is heard loud and clear at the state capitol. There is much work to be done to get the state of New York back on track. The common sense of the people of this region is sorely needed in state government. I also look forward to working with the people as they navigate dealing with the increasingly intrusive state bureaucracy.”
Sempolinski expressed thanks to all voters, especially his family. “My wife and children have been my support and inspiration through this entire campaign. I love them so much.”
Sempolinski also had words of respect for his predecessor. “Joe Giglio has proven you can do the job of Assemblyman with diligence and honor, if you stay focused on the people and not the politics. I hope to live up to his legacy.”
“It was the honor of a lifetime to serve this region in the US Congress.” Sempolinski added. “I am so blessed to be given the trust of the people once again. I won’t let you down.”
The 148th Assembly District consists of all of Allegany and Cattaraugus counties and a portion of Steuben County.
