Jazz Concert Series Continues Friday
The Jazz Concert Series at First Covenant Church will continue at 6:30 p.m. Friday with Rebecca Magnuson, a singer-songwriter, composer, concert pianist, and playwright.
As a child she was considered a child prodigy at the piano, and became the church pianist at her father’s church in Brooklyn in the third grade. Joining her will be Doug Schutte on trombone and host, John Cross on woodwinds and special guest Denver Bierman of the Denver and the Mile High Orchestra singing and playing trumpet.
A free will offering will be taken.

She is a member of ASCAP, the Nashville Songwriter’s Association, the International Society of Female Professionals, the Kennedy Center, the International Documentary Association, the National Music Teacher’s Association and the American Federation of Musicians.
Magnuson wrote and produced her one-woman show, She Sings, A Soaring Musical that premiered to sold-out audiences beginning in November 2018 in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Calif., Nashville and off-Broadway in New York City.
Tickets for Magnuson’s musical will be available at www.SheSings.com for its upcoming performance at 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Robert H. Jackson Center.
