Dobby Is NCCR Dog Of Week

Dobby

Dobby is a recent arrival at the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, rescued from an overcrowded shelter that ran out of room for him. He is a 5-month-old neutered male mixed breed. Dobby is expected to weigh around 35 and 40 pounds when he is fully grown. His breed mix is thought to include border collie; he appears to be a herding breed/terrier mix. Dobby is very dog-friendly and loves people, including kids. He wants to be besties with everyone he meets! He is learning “sit”, “down”, and “stay”, and is great at playing fetch. His foster mom reports that he is a wonderful trail dog and would make a great hiking or trail running partner. He is crate trained and does well with a schedule and regular trips outside, but still needs to be supervised when loose indoors. Dobby loves peanut butter. He is a playful little wiggle worm who loves attention and will need ongoing daily training and lots of exercise and play to help him be the best boy he can be. An approved application and an appointment are required to meet Dobby, as he is in a foster home. The other resident shelter dogs can be seen Monday through Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. without an appointment at 7540 N. Gale Street in Westfield, or read more about the available dogs and submit an application online at www.caninerescue.org.

Starting at $2.99/week.
