With the financial assistance of the congregation along with a grant from Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Panama United Methodist Church recently completed repairs to its bell tower. The bell tower is part of the church building dating back to 1939 and was in need of major work to prevent deterioration of the tower itself and the interior ceiling and walls. Trustee Craig Vollmer said with the external repairs complete, the trustees can now focus on interior repairs to the church library area.
