FREWSBURG — A new transportation company is looking to fill the void when it comes to medical transportation in Chautauqua County.

Garrett Moller and Steve Baumgart got together and became co-owners of True Transportation — 20 White Dr in Frewsburg — after taking notice of the need for reliable medical transportation. The pair began True Transportation in May 2023.

“There is a huge need in the community for reliable medical transportation so we thought this was a great opportunity to fill that void,” Moller said. “We want to make sure this area has a safe and reliable transportation service to get people to their very important medical appointments.”

True Transportation operates Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Trips can be accommodated outside of those hours on a case by case basis. True Transportation also offers private car service and an airport shuttle.

Most trips taken through True Transportation are covered through NYS Medicaid. He added that safety and professionalism are an important part of the business and for each of their drivers. “We operate safe, new, all-wheel-drive vehicles and employ professional, experienced drivers,” Baumgart said. “Our focus is on the customer and providing service second to none. Both co-founders have experience in the industry and understand how to provide top tier service.”

Currently, Moller and Baumgart serve only the Jamestown area, but hope to soon be able to serve the entire Chautauqua County.

“Our main goal is to offer this service county wide and potentially beyond to anyone looking for a dependable transportation source for all of their medical appointments or even for a private ride to a non-medical destination,” Moller said.
