Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union Opens New Jamestown Branch
Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union celebrated the opening of its new Jamestown branch at 501 W. Fifth St.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony included Mayor Eddie Sundquist, state Assemblyman Andrew Goodell and county legislator Lisa Vanstrom, also representating state Sen. George Borrello, as well as Kelly Haaksma, GCFCU CEO.
“It really took some time to get to this point, but it was absolutely worth the time and investment, and we can’t wait for the community to come visit us and find out what we have to offer to them,” said Kelly Rhinehart, GCFCU president.
Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union first opened its doors in 1940.
The credit union was originally formed to provide higher earning savings and low-cost loans to county highway employees. Over the years, the credit union began offering full-service banking products while servicing over 150 other employer groups throughout the county.
“Making a difference for both our members and community is why we are here,” Haaksma said.
