Jamestown Kiwanis Club Holding Flower Sale

The Jamestown Kiwanis Club is taking orders for their annual flower sale until May 10. Pick-up will be Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to noon in Brooklyn Square behind the Salvation Army. Geraniums are offered in five colors, and dahlias are offered in mixed colors. All plants are in large 5-inch pots, ready for planting. The price is $50 a dozen, $27 for a half-dozen or $5 a plant, mix and match. Call 716-665-9519 or email jamestownkiwanis@yahoo.com by May 10 for color selection and to place an order. All proceeds benefit local youth projects.

Frewsburg School Board To Hold Special Meeting

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the middle-high school library to vote on the 2025-2026 BOCES administrative budget and to elect BOCES board members. The public is welcome to attend.

Library Author Series Continues Monday

BUSTI – The author series at the Hazeltine Public Library will feature author TJ Buck on Monday. Buck, a graduate of Falconer High School, has worked across the country as a newspaper reporter. He writes crime fiction, political thrillers and is currently working on an untitled novel featuring Sgt. Sam Sampson as the lead character. His presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. and is held in the Community Building at the library. The event is free and open to everyone with no reservations needed. The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. There is off-street parking and the facility is handicapped accessible. For more information call the library at 716-487-1281. Library To Hold Open Mic Poetry Reading

SINCLAIRVILLE – Join John Brantingham, professor emeritus of creative writing, at the Sinclairville Free Library for an open mic poetry reading at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 28 to celebrate poetry month. Brantingham will lead a free poetry workshop from 4-6 p.m. prior to the open reading where poets may generate new material to share or polish up poems before the reading.

BUSTI – The monthly meeting of the Hazeltine Public Library trustees will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 29. Meetings are held at the library, 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti, and are open to the public.

The monthly general meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will be Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. The speaker is Randy Barber, who will discuss election integrity. Other topics for discussion will cover taxes, tariffs, DOGE, waste fraud and abuse and ongoing battle with green energy initiatives.
