Panama Union Cemetery Association Meets Wednesday

PANAMA – The Panama Union Cemetery Association’s annual meeting will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Panama Village Office on West Main Street. Lot owners are welcome to attend.

Rutledge Cemetery To Hold Cleanup Saturday

CONEWANGO – The Rutledge Cemetery on Seager Hill Road, Conewango, will hold its cleanup day at 10 a.m. Saturday. Those participating should bring rakes, tarps and lawn tools. All help is appreciated.

Chicken BBQ Sunday In Sinclairville

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting their famous chicken barbecue on Sunday, April 27, at noon. Meals are $15, and include 1/2 chicken, scalloped potatoes, roll, pickles, fruit cup, and cookie. Beverages available. Chicken halves are also available for $8 apiece. Parking available, take out or dine in.

SOUTH DAYTON – South Dayton Youth Baseball is having a Chiavetta’s Chicken Barbecue on Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Dayton American Legion. Drive through only.

Allegheny Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday

On Sunday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be hiking the Trails End Trail along Pleasant Drive in Warren. The hike will be about four miles. The group will meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1:30 p.m. Tom Patterson is the leader for this event.

Union Cemetery Board To Gather April 28

WESTFIELD – The annual board meeting of the Westfield-Portland Union Cemetery will be held Monday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Westfield. Lot owners are welcome to attend.

Chainsaw Fundamentals Course Is April 29

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s Agriculture Program will host “Chainsaw Safety Fundamentals” from 10 a.m. to noon at the Carnahan Center at Jamestown Community College. The class is designed for beginners, along with being a refresher class for experienced chainsaw operators. The workshop is co-hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County and the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health as part of the LEAF workshop series. Instructors of the April 29th workshop will cover topics including safety practices, personal protective equipment, maintenance and upkeep of a chainsaw, along with safe start and shut down, preventing kickbacks and more.
