Historical Society To Meet Today
ASHVILLE – The Harmony Historical Society’s annual kickoff meeting will be held at 6 p.m. today at the North Harmony Senior Citizens Building on Stow Road, Ashville. The program is titled the “History of Hogan’s Hut General Store” by Leah Stow. A light dinner and drinks will be provided by the Harmony Historical Society, with subs from Hogan’s Hut served. The membership committee will be available to take new memberships or renew current ones.
Prendergast Library Board To Meet Thursday
The James Prendergast Library board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. The public is welcome to attend.
First Lutheran Church To Host Special Services Thursday, Friday
First Lutheran Church announces their Holy Week service schedule including Thursday with the church’s Maundy Thursday Service with Holy Communion and foot-washing at noon in Memorial Chapel. The Good Friday Service will be on Friday at noon in Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mark E. Swanson, First Lutheran pastor, preaching and presiding at both services. Brian A. Bogey will be the organist. The public is welcome to attend.

Club To Meet Thursday
FLUVANNA – The CLRAACA will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The guest speaker will be county historian Norman Carlson. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.
Sinclairville Library Closed Friday, Saturday
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library will be closed Friday and Saturday in observance of the Easter holiday. The library’s Makerspace and LEGO STEM will be open on Monday, April 21, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. The Makerspace cabinet has building and creating activities for school aged children. No registration required. Local author Walt Pickut will visit the library at 6 p.m. Monday, April 21. Pickut is the author of The First Counterspy, a book with local connections. JCC To Host Earthfest April 23
Jamestown Community College’s annual Earthfest celebration is planned for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, outdoors on the Jamestown campus. The event takes on an agricultural theme this year, with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County teaming up with the college to create a unique experience for all. The event is free and open to the public. Local agricultural equipment dealers are teaming up to create a display of tractors and implements. An assortment of domestic animals will also be part of the experience.
