Christian Women To Meet Tuesday In Russell

RUSSELL – The Warren-Jamestown Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will meet Tuesday at noon at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. The guest speaker will be Jody Sadler of Jamestown and music by Bob Evertsen of Warren. Bring a $1 brown bag item for exchange. Lunch is $7. Reservations can be made by calling Nancy Schuyler at 716-397-3674. There are no dues or membership fees.

Audubon To Host First Sunday Story April 6

Children between the ages of 2 and 8 and their parents can attend the Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Sunday Story Time from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. The program and Sunday admission are both free. Come for stories and stay to visit the live animals, indoors and out, as well as 14-foot-long Sara the Spotted Salamander and her friend Tank, the 1,500-pound concrete turtle, in the outdoor Nature Play Area.

Reservations for story time are requested by Saturday, April 5, by calling 716-569-2345 or visit AudubonCNC.org/events. Participation is limited to 15. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

To Speak At Hazeltine

Library April 7

BUSTI – Hazeltine Public Library will begin its spring author series on Monday, April 7, with author Trenton Lutes. Lutes is a multi-talented individual who has completed a trilogy of science fiction novels. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Weather permitting the author talk will be held in the Community Building but can move into the library if needed. No reservations are needed and all are welcome. More details are available by calling the library at 716-487-1281. The Hazeltine Public Library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti. The Community Building and the library are both accessible and there is off street parking offered.

Army Corps Of Engineers To Host Lake Project Public Meeting April 9

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District is hosting a virtual public meeting to provide updates on the Chautauqua Lake Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Project from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, to provide an update on the multiyear effort to restore the aquatic ecosystem at Chautauqua Lake. The meeting will consist of a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. For participants who cannot join at the start of the meeting, district staff will repeat the presentation after the initial question-and-answer session.
