TEA Party Patriots To Gather Tuesday
The monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. John D’Agostino, regional editor of the Dunkirk OBSERVER, Warren Times Observer and The Post-Journal, will discuss how local government cost efficiency can be attained with practical measures to reduce the burden on taxpayers. Also Randy Barber will give an update on the work for western North Carolinians still recovering from last year’s hurricane. Finally, a report of the electric school bus vote in Maple Grove will be covered.
SWCS Board To Meet Tuesday
The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend. A review of the 2025-26 school budget proposal is among the items on the agenda.
Westfield Planning Board To Meet
WESTFIELD – The Westfield Village Planning Board will be meeting on Thursday, March 27 at 5 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall for a work session meeting. Officials note that Short Term Rentals regulation will not be discussed at this work session meeting.
Bemus Point School Board To Gather Thursday
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Board of Education will hold a budget work session on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at Maple Grove High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. No action will be taken. The public is welcome to attend
Falconer Village Board To Hold Budget Session
FALCONER – The Falconer Village Board will hold a budget work session on Monday, March 31, at 5 p.m. in the Community Building board room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.
Sinclairville Library To Host Poetry Classes In April
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library will host John Brantingham, professor emeritus of creative writing, for a free, month-long poetry class during the month of April. The class will be both in-person at the Sinclairville Free Library and online through video lectures and Zoom-based office hours. Each day students will be given a new writing prompt. He will help those participating to write poetry and publish it in magazines. The class is free. There is an opportunity to participate in a poetry reading at the Sinclairville Free Library at 15 Main St., at 6 p.m. Monday, April 28. The group will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. April 7, 14, 21 and 28 .
