Panama School Board To Host Special Meeting
PANAMA – The Panama Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday. It is anticipated the board will go into executive session to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of particular person or persons and matters relating to the hiring of an interim school superintendent. The public is welcome to attend.
Sinclairville Fire Dept. To Host Chicken BBQ
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company will resume its chicken barbecues starting at noon Sunday until sold out. A full dinner consists of a half-chicken, scalloped potatoes, roll, pickle, applesauce and cookie. Beverages will be available. The price remains $15 for the meal or $8 for half chicken only. Meals can be eaten at the fire department or taken home.
Frewsburg School Board To Hold Special Meeting Monday
FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the middle-high school library to approve the merger of certain fall sports with Southwestern Central School District. The public is welcome to attend.
IDA Board To Meet March 25
DUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the Center for Innovation & Economic Development, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk, in the first floor conference room. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be available electronically via Zoom and be livestreamed on YouTube.
Human Society, County To Host Rabies Clinic
The Chautauqua County Health Department will host a rabies vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 29, at the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown. Pre-registration is required and should be submitted online by visiting HealthyCHQ.com/Rabies. There are a limited number of spots available, so pet owners should pre-register online as soon as possible. Those who register but decide not to attend the event are asked to cancel their appointment so the spot is available for another pet. Cancel appointments via the confirmation email received when registering. Pet owners must bring previous rabies vaccination records for each animal receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination; clinic staff will confirm previous rabies vaccination records. All dogs must be on a leash. All cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers. Animal handlers will transport animals to the veterinarian for vaccination.
unset Hill Cemetery Holding Spring Cleanup
The Sunset Hill Cemetery Association is holding its spring cleanup. Those who want to keep winter wreaths must remove them by Monday, March 31. Any remaining wreaths will be disposed of by the cemetery maintenance department.
