Peek’n Peak Spring Fest Begins Today

FINDLEY LAKE – Peek’n Peak Resort will host its annual Spring Fest today through Sunday. Saturday events include a cardboard box derby at 11 a.m. with registration at 9:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for creativity, best team spirit and attitude, and best time. A Pond Skim Challenge will be held at 2 p.m. with registration from 11 a.m. to noon in The Retreat lobby. There is no charge to participate.

Health Dept. Offering Free Rabies Vaccines

MAYVILLE, N.Y. – The Chautauqua County Health Department (CCHD) is announcing a free rabies vaccination clinic sponsored by the Chautauqua County Humane Society and the CCHD. Animals must be pre-registered to receive vaccinations. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older.

County SCOPE Chapter To

Meet Tuesday

MAYVILLE – The next Chautauqua County Chapter Shooters Committee on Political Education (SCOPE) meeting is Tuesday at 7 p.m. at VFW Post 8647, 10 Memorial Drive, Mayville. Meetings are open to the public.

Golden Agers To Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. The speaker for this program will be a representative from the Department of Social Services, who manages the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) program. The next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 15.

Southwestern To Host Band Concerts Starting Tuesday

Southwestern Central School will celebrate Music In Our Schools Month in March in the auditorium at Southwestern High School with three concerts featuring students in sixth through 12th grades. The 2025 theme is “United through Music” and the public is invited to the following concerts. On Wednesday, the school will host its spring band concert with the spring choir concert on Tuesday, March 25, and spring orchestra concert on Thursday, March 27. All of the concerts begin at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
