CELORON – The Administrative Board of the South & Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Thursday in the Water Pollution Control Facility in Celoron. The public is welcome to attend.
Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Meets
CASSADAGA – Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 met recently. Under direction of committee chair Brandi Meacham, the post’s Empire Girl State interviews for three applicants will be held later in February. Pat Hayward and Carol Baker made Valentines and distributed them at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center. Plans are in the works for the auxiliary’s annual rummage sale on May 17. Members present voted to donate money to the Chautauqua County veterans van, ice bicycles for the Ride for Roswell and the CVCS FFA. Unit 1280 will be hosting the Chautauqua County Auxiliary meeting Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. It will be a dessert meeting, Unit 1280’s next meeting will be Tuesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion Post.

Petitions Begins
The Chautauqua County Board of Elections and Sheriff’s Office are notifying residents that the petitioning process for the 2025 election cycle has begun, with candidates and volunteers going door-to-door to collect signatures needed to secure a place on the ballot. Petitioning for the 2025 Election Cycle continues through April 3. Voters who need to update their address or change their political party affiliation can do so by visiting the Board of Elections website, www.votechautauqua.com. It is now too late to change political party affiliations for the primary election, with any change of enrollment will be placed in a pending status until July 1.
P-TECH Site In Dunkirk To Serve As Polling Place
The Chautauqua County Board of Elections is partnering with Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES for the use of Western New York P-TECH STEM College and Career Academy as a polling site in the city of Dunkirk. The new polling site, located at 55 E. Benton St., will be assigned to voters who had previously voted at the St. Hedwig’s Social Center from Blessed Mary Angela parish.
